There is no stamp on it so I’m not sure of the rating..it is also slightly smaller than what the measuments say, so for me, it flops around and makes a sound when the air conditioner comes on. It appears to be the rating that it says because it looks like the pleats are closer together than my old filter. The filters were a good price so I’m putting a piece of 1/2″ foam backer rod weather stripping on two adjacent sides. This is a solution to fill in the gap as the cardboard still covers the main air flow portion so no air can get around the filter. If you keep them, then put in the filter first and stuff the foam on the sides. My advice is to measure your filter to see if you need the exact measurements because this was a pain and it doesn’t say anything about this in the description.

Excellent MERV 11 16x25x1 Pleated Filters. Maybe just picky, but these filters had 1 less pleat in the filter paper than my last filters. That means less surface/filtering area. I change them out often enough it shouldn’t make a difference, but still…

I have lots of pets, hair, litter dust, etc so need good filtration. These filters are good for allergens!However, the packaging is awful. They arrive in a basic thin box that has no reinforcements to prevent getting smooshed. The filters themselves are also made with thin cardstock that does not hold up well to shipping.You can resquish/bend them enough to fit. It may take a few tries to get the shape right. So you save a few dollars, but gain frustration.Suggestion to manufacturer: use a much more sturdy shipping box.
