I was happy to find filters that fit our unit as it is a unique size, and that I could get ones of better quality for a lower price than what I typically find in the store. After reading some other comments, I checked the Merv rating on my box and the information on the filters to make sure I had the right product, which I did. These are the sturdiest filters I have bought. I really like that they have an accordion structure for greater surface area to capture the dust and particles and greater surface for the air to pass through.

Very pleased with these. We have a treadmill in our living room, which leads to a bit of a gym smell. Turning the central fan on and using an air purifier for an hour really helps. The box did appear to have been opened, but the air filters appeared unused, except for one that was slightly scuffed and upside down in the box. I’m guessing someone tried it, didn’t fit, and returned it. Wasn’t a problem for me. Fits snug and works great!

It looks well made. The frame is cardboard, but the media is embedded with a wire mesh. My wife claims that she could immediately smell a freshness in the air. My “18×30” register opening expects filter makers to cheat by half an inch so I had to perform some surgery to get this to fit since they’re “17 3/4 x 29 3/4”.

My AC repairman came over to fix our AC. Without me telling him what I paid for our MERV 14 filter, he looked at it and said, “These are really good quality filters. ” There were no MERV labels anywhere on the installed filter.A MERV 14 will filter out approximately 80% of .3 um particles.

I was having trouble finding the filters I usually purchase so I decided to try these. They seem to work however the 18x30x1 fit loosely. This is the first time I’ve encountered that problem.

These filters are 1/4 inch shorter than the 18×30 advertised size which woks for me, but may not for you. Other than that, they seem to be of similar quality as the 3M ones I have used in the past, only less expensive. I will buy these again when I need them.

I am quite meticulous when it comes to AC maintenance and filter changes. Living in FL, AC is a necessity to keep a comfortable balance of temp / relative humidity. I always try to replace our filers within the 60-90 day mark (depending on usage). These filters are constructed in a similar manner to many of the other higher MERV filters, consisting of a paper / cardboard outer, with a wire mesh backed filtration media. I have found that these filters seem to be more sturdy compared to the usual A&H filters that I have used for 2 years. My last A&H high merv filters would begin to bow in on themselves after about 1.5 months of use. This would lead to me using packing tape to attach the filter to the housing to prevent the fiter from bowing to a point in wheich on of the sides of the filter would be sucked into the air return plenum. I have not had that happen with these filters. I don’t know if it is a thicker wire mesh, or potentially a thicker cardboard outer, but I can use these through their rated life without worrying about that issue. I dont have a measurable metric for the filtration side of the product, but I have nopt had any allergy complaints from family or guests.Do keep in mind that the filters that a higher MERV rated filter can be more restrictive and strain the blower motor of your AC unit. When using these high filtration filters, you need to stay on top of changing the filters when needed, or they can burn out your AC blower motor.

I ended up having a nonstandard size air intake and returned these; but they seemed well made and like they would filter well.
