   I was a little skeptical buying air conditioning filters from Amazon, wondering if they would arrive damaged or not. They arrived in a heavy box with no damage. These are a great price. I change my filter monthly because I have 2 dogs and a cat in the house. My nephew, an AC certified technician, installed a high efficiency heat pump in my house a little over a year ago. He told me to only get filters in the 300-400 range. That the heavier filters with high MPR ratings are as bad as a dirty filter when it comes to air flow. And even though the picture of this filter shows vertical pleats they are the regular horizontal pleated filters.I am so glad I found these. Much cheaper than even Walmart (only place to shop where I live and they never have my size).

   Great price for so many!!!! My contractor adviser and the great company that installed my a/c years ago highly recommend buying less expensive filters and changing them monthly. I do that, but have to admit there are some months that the a/c or heat are not on at all and I lengthen is a half or whole month then – completely depending on usage. That has maintained our home’s service for 12 years so far. It’s also so easy instead of washing those others and waiting for them to dry to put back or to put away if you replaced with another.

   Utilized as a pre-filter to filter air intake area and tube, for HEPA filter set up, extending life and efficiency of the HEPA filter. Perfect fit and seems to be the highest flow filter of this type at 300, and does seem to restrict flow at a month or so. A lesser filter was used- Filtrete, 2-Pack Flat Panel Basic Flat Air Filters (Common: 20-in x 30-in x 1-in; Actual: 19.7-in x 29.7-in x 0.8125-in), as a pre-filter and it did not have a strong enough frame or wire support like this does. Lowered rating to 4 stars after 3 weeks of use and had to replace, the filter getting “sucked inward.” Visual inspection indicated more “life” left, it was restricting intake air for my A/C unit. 6 pack expected to last one year, but experience, estimate expected replacement life of each filter, not to exceed one month, package of six, to last less than 6 months.With a rating of 300, would not recommend this to be the only filter for you A/C or furnace unit. Purchased because advertised for high capacity, but this seems to clog quickly and restricts if not replaced frequently.Purchased a second time, since usage of the lesser and increased capacity filters, did not filter the largest dust particles but allowed better flow, with very low specifications/ratings for filtering of “0” MERV and “0” MPR, moved back to this rating filter with a 300 MPR rating, and will replace frequently.

   I needed some good AC filters and these seemed like they would fit the bill. Right size and easy to mount and they do seem to pick up dust. we have a pretty clean house so I usually don’t see much dust on these filters but it’s nice to know these pick up stuff so we don’t wind up breathing it. this is a pack of 6 so I’m good for several more months then will buy some more!

   Don’t waste your hard earned money on the $18 pleated filters. IMO these filters are just as good at a small fraction of the price. They do an Excellent job of filtering out the dust, dander and fur from 4 dogs and two long haired cats.
