I have a Rheem air handler/furnace and air conditioner and it has the bad design to require a 21″X21″ filter. there are suppose to be MRP 1000 and I am not exactly sure what this actually means. These install easy enough and it appears that I get a very high air flow but I have notice more dust on everything. When I installed my air handler I could not find any 21″X21″ filters and I had some 20″X20″ Filtrete filters that I had left over from my old air handler and I made a 21″X21″ holder for the 20″X20″ filters and I used them and they seemed to catch more of the dust etc. but I suppose that if the air handler was designed for the 21″X21″ filters I will have to live with a little more dust. These filters are sturdy and fit the air handler perfect there is almost no gap on any side and I suppose that since they allow more air to flow it is better on the fan motor and it is a variable speed motor.

I change my filters every 2 months. I don’t have many options in this specific filter size. Sadly, this is the best quality of the 2 or 3 I have found in this size, and it’s just simply not good enough. Please release one in this size (21x21x1) that has a higher Merv rating and tighter pleats.
