I’ve been purchasing FilterBuy filters for a long time. They make good filters and I think they are better than the big box store filters, and a good value for money. They work, my system fan runs 24/7 so I replace more often. This is the first time I’ve tried the Odor Eliminator filters in my HVAC and I think they remove odors compared to the regular ones. A little more expensive but I will purchase again.

Got it to reduce odor. Too early to tell if it did or not.

I tried these filters and found that that their odor reduction capabilities were 100% attributable to the placebo effect. Moreover, the activated charcoal seriously constricts air flow which overstresses the HVAC fan motor and reduces the system’s ability to heat or cool. Do yourself (and your HVAC system) a favor, just get the dumb, cheap low-MERV filters that your system was designed to handle. HVAC filters are only meant for keeping dust off of the HVAC’s internal parts and burner, they aren’t meant for improving air quality, despite what the marketing on the package tells you.

I replace my air filter every 3 months since it is in my living room and I can see it get dirty. I normally buy the Filterrite brand but was willing to give this a try. The filter was slightly smaller than the other brand but was still big enough that I could make a seal against the air intake. I then noticed it made a very slight hissing noise. I thought it might be leaking around the edges, but after confirming it was not leaking I have come to the conclusion that the filter just makes a small amount of noise when air flows through it.Not sure if the filter is as good at filtering the air yet but the noise is my only observation so far.

Been installed for a week now, seem to work well. Easy to install. Would recommend these.

The filter size seems a little small but that is fine, there is no gap between the filter and the frame, so somehow is ok for easy removal. It will depend on your system, how tight it fits. The odor removal is good, does work fine for some time. You may need to replace the filter sooner instead of every 3 months, depending on how often odors (like kitchen , baby, dog, ) are removed. I noticed it has trouble removing fish (cooked salmon) odors after around 15 days of using it, so you may still need to ventilate your home and run the HVAC some more. I had no issues installing it. it did not bent, so yes, it is sturdy and HVAC won’t bend it too. So far so good.
