BNX filters have a lot of the same qualities as the 3M filtrate filters. I use better filters because of allergies not because of smoking or smog in my home. Don’t have pets either so I can’t comment on those properties of BNX filters. The BNX MERV 11 filters look almost identical to the 3M MERV 11 I have been using. I can’t imagine any real difference except savings in my check book. I have done some side-by-side images so you can see. Also put up a picture with the new BNX installed. I’m pretty sure I’ll be happy with the BNX. I’ll update if I see any problems, but the AC guy always tells me how clean my coils are on the AC. I guess better filters do work at removing small particles.

MERV 11 is a good middle ground between high filtration and high efficiency filter. The frame on this filter is thin, but given that it’s installed once, it should be adequate for the job and likely is slightly better for the environment given the less amount of cardboard in it’s construction

I got this MERV11 filter to replace my previous MERV13 3M filter. The filter has comparable quality to the Filtrete brand even though the MERV11 had a few less pleats on the filter. This is to be expected being that they have different micron ratings. These have very good filtration and do not produce any excessive pressure drop at the filter. The price is great, they are made in USA, and are good quality. One thing about my Lennox system is the filter tray has 3 “tabs” that are supposed to fit over the cardboard frame to be able to pull the filter out. The 3M filters I was using previously had too large of a cardboard frame and I had to cut little slits in the cardboard to get the tabs to fit the filter. With these filters, the tabs fit on the frame perfectly.

This air filter is a nice filter but when I replaced my old one that I had bought from the store, this one made a lot of noise. I’m not sure if the size might be a bit too small or if the material is too flimsy. Overall, I’m ok with continuing to use it and for the price, I would order more.

The filter arrived intact and usable. The filter also fits which hasn’t always happened when I’ve tried some filters here on Amazon. It is a pretty standard accordion pleated filters, mid-range in quality which is all I need. The price is higher for a single filter than I am used to but then I also usually buy in bulk.

Really nice MERV 11 filter – it’s made in the USA and you can feel the sturdiness of the frame. I’m hoping that it cleans the air just as well as the bigger name brands. I have no doubts that it will.

These filters seem to do a good job filtering as advertised. They even seem to do a better job at collecting more dust than the ones we used prior. My biggest praise is that they are MADE IN THE USA! I have been intentionally trying to buy products that are made here. I will go back and buy these again; they get the job done!

This filter fit my furnace as advertised. I like that it has a ~one inch card board lip around the edge, as my furnace mount clips to that. Some other filters have a bigger lip, and I have to poke holes in the cardboard to attach them to the furnace mount. But no problem with this one. The filter seemed to work as normal and was as dirty as they usually are when I changed it 2 months later.
